Lecture 19: Space-Based & 'Serverless' Architectures

This lecture concludes the exploration of architectural styles. It considers how space-based architecture addresses the problem of database scalability by storing data in memory. It explores the issue of data collision in such an architecture and demonstrates the influence of scaling and data replication latency on collisions. The lecture also considers briefly two forms of ‘serverless’ architecture: Backend as a Service (BaaS) and Functions as a Service (FaaS).
